Amit is Sr. President & Country Head, Corporate Strategy, Marketing & Communications YES BANK, and Executive Director at YES Institute.
He has had an extensive career in the financial services & consultancy sectors in India and across other emerging nations, and made valuable contributions to the public understanding of FINTECH and Digital Banking. His research interests focus upon the interactions of finance, banking strategy and brand equity. As Editor-in-Chief of CFO Insights – a publication catering to global financial thought leadership – he has introduced a new paradigm of inclusive public-policy interactions.
Amit has also been instrumental in creating and strengthening the ‘YES BANK’ brand equity over the last eight years through an integrated Knowledge Banking approach. During his tenure, the bank has emerged as one of the Top 500 Banking Brands globally.
His responsibilities include business strategy, planning & analytics, marketing, internal & external communication, branding, digitalization, public & social policy advocacy, CSR strategy and responsible banking initiatives.
Under his leadership, YES BANK has won many awards and accolades in the last few years. In 2015 the bank was honored and included in the top 10 recognized brands in Paul Writer’s Mumbai Hot 50 list, recognized as a “High Performance Brand” by the All India Management Association and as “Most Promising Brand, India” by the World Consulting & Research Corporation. For the last 2 years the bank has been recognized as an ‘ET Promising Brand’ at The Economic Times Promising Brand Awards.
Prior to joining YES BANK, Amit has worked with organizations like TSMG and L&T. He has done his MBA from NITIE – Mumbai and Engineering from NIT – Surathkal.
