SMART CITIES ADVISORY

UN estimates that India is expected to add around 404 million urban dwellers by 2050

Today, the world is increasingly witnessing an uneven distribution of urbanization across the globe. As the number of mega-cities sees manifold increase due to migration, it is projected that largest urban growth is likely to take place in India, China and Nigeria.

Indian cities are expected to contribute 75% to the country’s GDP. Therefore, developing globally competitive and vibrant Smart Cities in India will positively impact the nation’s economic growth and enhance citizens’ quality of life.

This requires empowering Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) for effective local self-governance, financial stability of ULBs to improve autonomy, E-Governance and efficient delivery of public services to ensure transparency in administration and digital disruptions in areas such as social media, mobility, Internet of Things, Big Data & Cloud Computing.

Smart City Advisory focuses on accelerating smart urban transformation with an ambition to achieve inclusive development at the grassroots, by facilitating dialogue on self-sustaining urban ecosystem, innovation nodes and green design to enhance urban living in India.
