Financial Inclusion is an important developmental goal for India, not only for achieving inclusive growth but also greater social justice. YES Institute focusses on ‘inclusive growth’ of ‘emerging India’ through innovative business models and forging partnerships for seamless implementation.

Working with the guiding principle of Frugal Innovations for Financial Inclusion (FI4FI), the ISB team has systematically leveraged ICT and frugal business models to run appropriate products and services catering to the under-banked and unbanked population in India.



ISB offers products and services including direct micro-credit and micro saving across various geographical and socio-economic contexts. YES Livelihood Enhancement Action Program (YES LEAP), ISB’s flagship program in rural India, is a comprehensive financial service (credit, saving and insurance). The program is designed for all women Self-Help groups/Joint Liability Groups focusing on income generation, through partner organizations acting as Business Correspondents (BCs). The YES Leap program has helped to organize finance for over 1,30,000 SHGs/JLGs spread in about 250 districts, thus directly reaching over 16 lakhs families. At present, YES LEAP is functioning in 19 states.


ISB focuses on enhancing technology solutions to efficiently scale-up outreach to more unbanked and under banked population of India. ISB introduced a dedicated first of its kind Loan Origination & Management System for booking SHG loans. It offers the flexibility of microfinance institutions along with regulations and risk controls required for banks at the same time.

YES SAHAJ, the award winning and globally recognized technology solution platform of YES BANK, has been designed by ISB to offers doorstep banking services using low cost technology. All field transactions were recorded in YES Sahaj mobile transaction device and monitored centrally.

Additionally, for efficient monitoring of field operations, and ensure effectiveness and transparency, Tablet solution is being launched. This will help in seamless integration between field operations and loan booking at the branch level.



ISB launched With technical collaboration with Accion International, YES Sampann, a first-of-its-kind direct micro-finance initiative, was launched to Had been designed to reach out to the un-banked and under-banked population by leveraging YES BANK’s branch network, technology edge and relationship capital in the public, private and social sectors.
